Overall Purpose of the JobThe Manchester Institute of Education is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Lecturer in English Education to work on its highly rated Secondary PGCE course. The post holder will work as part of a team contributing to Secondary English provision and to the wider PGCE/ ITE programmes and undertake appropriate course leadership, management and administrative duties.Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, together with recent and relevant experience of Initial Teacher Education, in higher education and/or the Secondary education sector. It would be expected for applicants to hold a Master’s degree and desirable to have a PhD/EdD or be close to completionIt is hoped that the person appointed will also make a contribution to Masters and Doctoral supervision and to MIE’s research culture.
