SIAT offers degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. The School currently enrolls about 800 undergraduate and 110 graduate students with a female ratio of over 50%. SIAT’s infrastructure includes innovative and collaborative teaching and teaching facilities on Simon Fraser University’s award-winning distinctive Surrey urban campus. The ideal candidate’s teaching expertise will expand upon one or more of these areas: emergent digital media, computational creativity, affective, interactive, physical computing, design, or other emerging critical pedagogical skills in technology. We encourage applications from individuals whose teaching experience draws from multiple disciplines in which interactive arts and technology approaches are grounded within societal, ethical, and/or cultural principles. Experience with Indigenous knowledge, culture, and practices is welcomed and encouraged. This position may also provide opportunities for teaching at the graduate level in our new SIAT project-based master’s program.

Applicants must hold a PhD or Master’s degree with minimum of five years teaching experience in a field related to Interactive Arts & Technology with strength in technological and computational foundations. SIAT invites applications from candidates who can develop successful pedagogical collaborations with other faculty in our highly interdisciplinary environment. We seek applicants with teaching experience and a strong potential for instructional and curriculum innovation at the undergraduate level.
