The School of Social, Political and Global Studies is currently seeking to recruit a Lecturer in International Relations, with a specialism in International Development. This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join well-established International Relations and Politics teams who are part of a multi-disciplinary school, bringing together academics in International Relations, Politics, Sociology, Philosophy, Criminology and Education to deliver single and combined honours degree courses, pioneering taught postgraduate programmes and postgraduate supervision with world leading researchers. 

The successful candidate will have a developing nationally leading profile in a research area relevant to International Relations and International Development, and relevant proven experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, assessment and supervision. They will be expected to make an outstanding contribution to undergraduate teaching on our International Relations and International Development programmes, including our joint degree with Beijing Foreign Studies University, to our PGT programmes in International Relations and Politics, including MSc International Development, and to research supervision in these areas. They will be expected to demonstrate the ability to lead on programme management and delivery, and be able to develop an excellent programme of research, making an outstanding contribution to research in international relations, international development, and global politics, and contributing actively to the general culture of the subject, School and Faculty.
