Lecturer in Media and Communications (Education and Research)

This full-time, permanent post is available immediately.Summary of the roleYou will contribute to extending the research profile of at Exeter, particularly in critical approaches to the study of Media and Communications from industrial, theoretical, or textual/representation perspectives related to areas of cultural politics and identity, including (but not limited to) social class, gender, sexuality, “race”, ethnicity, nationhood, disability.The successful candidate will teach on existing Communications modules and lead the development of new modules in their areas of expertise. They will attract postgraduate research students and research funding and develop collaborative professional partnerships within and beyond the department.About youYou will have: * a PhD in Media and Communications, or a related discipline, and have an independent, internationally recognised research programme in a relevant active field of research.
