Underpinning this, the School of Biological Sciences investigates a range of subjects, from haemostasis and cardiovascular disease to cancer, endocrinology, developmental biology, neurobiology and microbiology. As well as offering a range of successful undergraduate degree programmes, we deliver postgraduate taught research, and support a vibrant body of post-graduate research students. The School occupies state of the art facilities, including a new Health & Life Sciences building which facilitates our research and teaching.The Division of Biomedical Sciences seeks to appoint a highly motivated and successful scientist working in the areas of human metabolism, metabolic disorders, or metabolic biochemistry.You will have:

  • A PhD or DPhil in a relevant discipline;
  • A track record of high-quality research in an area of human metabolism, metabolic disorders, or metabolic biochemistry, leading to publications in international peer-reviewed journals;
  • A willingness and ability to teach effectively.
