Underpinning this, the School of Biological Sciences investigates a range of subjects, from haemostasis and cardiovascular disease to cancer, endocrinology, developmental biology, neurobiology and microbiology. Research outcomes are applied to real world problems, influencing the public, media, government and industry. As well as offering a range of successful undergraduate degree programmes, we deliver postgraduate taught research, and support a vibrant body of post-graduate research students. The School occupies state of the art facilities, including a new Health & Life Sciences building which facilitates our research and teaching.The Division of Biomedical Sciences seeks to appoint a highly motivated and successful scientist working in the areas of human metabolism, metabolic disorders, or metabolic biochemistry.You will have:

  • A PhD or DPhil in a relevant discipline;
  • A track record of high-quality research in an area of human metabolism, metabolic disorders, or metabolic biochemistry, leading to publications in international peer-reviewed journals;
  • A willingness and ability to teach effectively.
