Lecturer in Policing and Criminal Justice

This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.Westminster Law School is a large, vibrant and diverse community of scholarship, learning and practice located in central London.The School is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Policing. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of our unique new degree in policing, and other programmes in law and criminal justice, as well as our emerging research and knowledge exchange activities in these fields. The School aims to become a leading provider of professionally focused and ethically informed policing studies, training the police officers, leaders and specialists of the future, while providing an ethical and policy-focused research framework to inform the profession. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a transformative vision of professional education in policing and of professional policing practice itself.The successful candidate will be a full academic member of the broader Law School which is home to a growing number of connected disciplines, including criminal justice and criminal procedure, as well as numerous academic and professional law courses at all levels. The candidate would also join a broader interdisciplinary College which houses numerous scholars of policing studies and criminology, and connected fields. Candidates from both a research and/or professional policing background with are encouraged to apply.
