Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS)This full time, permanent post is available in SPSPA.Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy, and Anthropology (SPSPA)SPSPA is comprised of around 150 members of academic staff, six distinct academic disciplines and eight interdisciplinary research centres, and teaches over 2,000 students across over 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are a vibrant, friendly, and international community of scholars committed to maintaining a superb working environment to support our excellent research and teaching.The roleSPSPA is recruiting a Lecturer in Politics as part of a continued strategic investment in this area. Politics at Exeter has maintained its position in the UK top 10 across the last three national research assessment exercises and was ranked 5th for research power in REF2021.We have a long-standing commitment to thematic, methodological, and theoretical pluralism, with expertise in comparative politics, political behaviour, public policy, political theory, and politics of specific areas throughout the world (e.g. Africa, Latin America). We welcome applicants from across the discipline of Politics and are particularly interested in considering candidates who work on gender and politics, as well as those who can broaden our (quantitative or qualitative) methodological expertise.About youYou will have:
