Position: Lecturer

Description: The Department of History at Princeton University has an occasional need for lecturers to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) in areas such as the history of North and South America, Asia, Europe (including Great Britain), Africa, and history of science. The positions require leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Appointments are subject to enrollments and may be for one or two semesters during the 2024-25 academic year, with the potential for renewal depending on departmental need. An advanced degree is required; PhDs or doctoral candidates preferred. Please provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a brief statement of your teaching experience and interests, and the names and contact information for three references. These positions are subject to the University’s background check policy. The work location for this position is in-person on campus at Princeton University.
