Lecturer in Psychology (Fixed term, maternity cover for 12 months)

Ref: ATS1201

Salary on appointment will be £35,333 per annum, with an annual increment up to £42,155 per annum.

The UEA School of Psychology seeks a new appointment to complement existing teaching and scholarship activity and contribute to the ongoing development of our portfolio of high-quality courses. 

Applications are especially welcome from those with relevant experience in social psychology, qualitative methods or professional and applied areas of psychology (such as mental health and wellbeing, crime and law, business, education and counselling). 

You will be involved in the design and delivery of teaching and the production of learning materials within our blended approach to psychological education. You will have the ability to engage and support students within an inclusive team-based approach which helps students to develop psychological skills and knowledge. 

As an ATS lecturer you are expected to engage in subject, professional and pedagogical research, innovation, or engagement with external stakeholders as relevant to your academic and professional background.

You must have a PhD or equivalent qualification (or be able to complete doctoral studies within 6 months of appointment); should have experience in teaching commensurate with the level of the post; and must satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification. 

This full-time, fixed term post is available from 4 September 2023 (or as soon as possible thereafter, depending on the current notice period of the successful applicant) for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.
