The roleThe at the University of Bristol seeks an outstanding academic for a 4-year fixed-term academic appointment at Lecturer level on the Teaching and Research Pathway to support the EPSRC funded (QIST CDT). The appointee will contribute to the delivery of the CDT programme and support the large postgraduate student community.The Quantum Information Science and Technologies Centre for Doctoral Training (QIST CDT) sits across the Universities of Bristol and Sussex. It is an EPSRC-sponsored training programme offering 4-year PhD scholarships with a first year of taught activities. The programme aims to deliver on EPSRC’s Research Priority of Quantum Technologies – supporting research across both institutions. The CDT is one of five quantum themed programmes funded by EPSRC within the UK and builds upon the 10-year legacy of the world-renowned Quantum Engineering CDT.What will you be doing?The main focus of this post will be on developing, implementing and delivering training in our EPSRC funded Quantum Information Science and Technologies Centre for Doctoral Training (QIST CDT) programme that sits across the Universities of Bristol and Sussex. This role will also involve a range of activities in the School of Physics and within QET Labs. In particular, you will:
The successful applicant will also be encouraged to develop a research programme, carrying out impactful research in the field of integrated photonics and quantum information science and technologies as part of the wider team.
