Lecturer – Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level, excel at teaching innovation and entrepreneurship courses with experiential pedagogies to a diverse student body, and exhibit leadership abilities. Experience teaching innovation and/or entrepreneurship courses at an AACSB/EQUIS accredited Business School is preferred. Teaching experience consistent with Beedie School of Business’ Vision 2022 strategic priorities of innovation, social responsibility, and global perspective will be prioritized. Applicants should have a graduate degree in either Business Administration, innovation, entrepreneurship, or related fields. Preference will be given to those with a doctoral degree, pedagogical research experience, experience coaching and providing feedback to students and student ventures in academic and/or co-curricular settings, and related industry experience or community/industry engagement experience.

Duties
A lecturer is expected to teach 8 course sections per year in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, primarily in the undergraduate program. Teaching faculty members are expected to contribute to Beedie’s teaching excellence, actively participate in Beedie’s collegial self-governance structure and offer assistance and guidance to students, peers and the academic community through activities such as committee work, mentorship and experiential learning opportunities.

Faculty salaries at SFU are based on the salary scales bargained between the University and the SFU Faculty Association. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role at the Lecturer Rank is $133,340 – $149,241 dependent on experience and inclusive of a market differential. Benefits are in addition to this range.
