Our triple helix approach (people, education, research and enterprise) accentuates the value of our people and exemplifies our constant pursuit of solidarity and social cohesion among staff members, who comprise a diverse international cohort of renowned leading as well as early career researchers.We intend to strengthen our expertise in English Private Law, in particular Land Law, Equity and Trusts as well as Remedies in Contract and Tort, through the appointment of a Lecturer.Successful candidates will have a PhD in Law or equivalent professional qualifications for the L 5 position or evidence of registration for a PhD and significant progress towards completion (for the L 4 position). The successful candidate will be expected to make an all-around contribution to education and research delivery as well as fulfil a leadership role in the School. As such, you will be expected to have evidence of teaching experience in English Private Law. You will be expected to have a research profile including published work and external research funding engagement commensurate with your career stage. You will be committed to high-quality research and to building a vibrant student experience and community. Visible and collegiate, you will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the School’s activities including student recruitment and outreach.Research in the Law School currently clusters around a number of research centres including those for Property, People and Community Centre; Private and Commercial Law (PCL); Maritime Law (IML); Law; International Law and Globalisation; Global Constitutionalism, Law and Technology, the Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law and the Centre for Justice Studies.
