Following the founding of the new research Centre for Financial Technology Studies (CFTS) at The University of Manchester in November 2022, Alliance Manchester Business School is looking to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Financial Technology. The appointments will have an emphasis on the role of technology in financial services and are part of the School’s strategy to strengthen research and teaching on the topic as well as boost the region’s capacity and capability in Financial Technology (FinTech). The anticipated start date for these faculty positions is September 1st, 2024.We seek outstanding candidates with a strong academic background who will be comfortable engaging with the vibrant cross-disciplinary community of FinTech across the School and the University. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate commitment to produce original and innovative scholarly work and publish at top academic journals in their discipline. At the same time candidates must be comfortable in a business setting to pursue business engagement with the FinTech community regionally and throughout the UK/internationally.The candidate should also be able to work with students in mentoring around the School’s FinTech Centre, design research projects, and attract grant money to tackle FinTech-related topics.
