For appointment at Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor you will be developing international leadership in research, and we would expect to be supporting you for Professorial promotion in the near future. We especially invite applicants with Fellowships or expertise in:

  • Synthesis and catalysis
  • Engineering/chemical biology and biophysics
  • Automation or data-led chemistry
  • Materials and Chemistry for NetZero and health
  • Sustainable Chemistry

We will offer positions at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Associate Professor, contingent upon skills, qualifications, and experience.What will you be doing?

  • Deliver an ambitious, internationally leading research portfolio.
  • Develop competitive funding applications to resource your research programme.
  • Collaborate positively and supportively with colleagues across the University and externally.
  • Play a key role in developing and delivering our education programme at undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels.
  • Contribute to our postgraduate research training programmes as appropriate

You should apply if

  • Relevant PhD degree (or professional equivalent)

Grade J (Lecturer)

  • Postdoctoral research experience
  • Experience in teaching at university level
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences
  • Initiative and creativity in problem-solving

Grade K (Lecturer)

  • Undertaking and leading independent research
  • Extensive experience in delivering high-quality teaching at university level.
  • Experience in developing funding applications to resource your research programs.

Grade L (Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor)

  • Experience building internationally competitive research programs (a clear track to international leadership is required for Associate Professor appointment)
  • Leading, designing and implementing innovative teaching and research programs.
  • Contribution to broader organisational and management processes.
  • Extensive and successful teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Significant publications in high-impact academic journals or books
