Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Children’s Nursing

The University has invested over £8 million in the development of a state-of-the-art simulation centre, which further enhances our record of teaching, research and knowledge exchange innovation.The PostWe are seeking to recruit an experienced registered Children’s Nurse who has ambition to develop as a nurse educator and academic, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role or equivalent. You will play a key role in facilitating teaching and learning, and research and knowledge exchange across our child nursing provision. We are happy to consider part-time working and/or secondments. Applicants without previous teaching experience will be considered as a Lecturer.The PersonYou will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have opportunity to complete a PGCHE and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and knowledge exchange activities. Opportunity may also exist to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme.
