Are you a talented engineer wanting to develop your career in Higher Education?The School of Computer Science and Technology is growing and seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic candidate for the role of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering who will help deliver (lecturer) or lead (senior lecturer) the enhancement and delivery of the School’s teaching, research, and enterprise activities.The School of Computer Science and Technology (CST) not only provides students with the most cutting-edge knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering but also equips them with the ability to apply their skills to address real-world challenges, ensuring they graduate empowered to make positive contributions to society and the economy. CST thrives on providing an innovative education with a unique combination of practice and research-led teaching, ensuring our students have the most up-to-date knowledge of the field and are prepared to adapt to disruptive future landscapes.CST places its students at the centre of everything. This building comprises state-of-the-art teaching and research labs.CST has a growing international reputation for providing high-quality education that is underpinned by impactful research. The School performed well on the recent REF2021 exercise and has a large suite of funded research projects, which it seeks to build upon.The successful candidate will be required to make a major contribution to teaching and research within the area of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, reporting to the Head of School. Applicants should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: fluid dynamics, thermofluids, power cycles, additive manufacturing, energy materials, and mechanical systems.The successful candidate will be expected to be research-active in areas that align with Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
