Our pioneering 4-year MSci (Hons) nursing programme offers students the opportunity to follow one of two pathways towards registration: Adult Nursing (Single Registration) or Adult and Mental Health Nursing (Dual Registration). Building on this solid foundation and our reputation for high-quality innovative programmes of nursing education, we are expanding our suite of programmes to include a new BSc and Degree Apprenticeship in Adult Nursing.We are inviting applications from colleagues seeking a role as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Nursing who share our passion for designing creative, authentic nursing curricula that cultivate a spirit of enquiry, empathy, and engagement in our students. Successful applicants will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), have experience in nursing education, and hold a Master’s level qualification (or higher) with recent experience developing and delivering enriching educational experiences for student nurses. We are particularly keen to hear from Dual Registered nurse academics, although would welcome applications from colleagues with Adult Nursing experience, as well as those with experience designing, developing and delivering Degree Apprenticeship programmes.The roleWe are seeking to appoint a new 1.0 FTE Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with a particular focus on adult nursing.The post will include:
- Design, develop and deliver a range of programmes of study in Nursing at various levels including BSc/MSci and Degree Apprenticeship.
- Working closely with the Director of Nursing, Programme Leads, and Director of Education and Student Experience (DESE) in the development and implementation of teaching and learning strategy.
- Contribute to scholarship commensurate with career stage and engage in continuing professional development to continually enhance academic and professional practice.
- Lead and develop internal and external networks to foster collaboration and educational innovation, and share information and ideas and to promote the nursing profession and discipline, the Academy of Nursing and the University of Exeter.
- Take overall responsibility for the organising and deployment of resources within own areas of responsibility.
