).The School of Mathematics & Statistics is the home of the Mathematical Sciences within the University of Glasgow. It is one of the six Schools which constitute the College of Science and Engineering, which in turn is one of the four Colleges within the University. The School is large, growing and diverse. It offers full undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at all levels and it undertakes research of high international standard. We have research groups of international excellence in all three of the main areas of the subject, traditionally described as pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, although we increasingly have research activity which blurs these descriptions. The School has over 70 academic staff across pure and applied mathematics, and statistics, together with over 100 PhD students, 25 research assistants and is supported by 20 student support, administrative, and IT staff.
