Job descriptionA truly international community of practice, Edinburgh Napier University hosts one of the largest Business Schools in Scotland and offers expertise, teaching and research across: Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Law, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, and Festival & Events Management.Our Human Resource Management team is well-known for its approach to practice-based learning and research around the theme of ‘maximising human potential’, which focuses on well-being, diversity, talent and leadership development and performance improvement.The subject area delivers HRM programmes at Degree and Masters Levels and runs programmes on-campus, overseas and online, also running bespoke part-time programmes with commercial partners.As such, we are currently recruiting two Lecturers in Human Resource Management to support some of the largest student recruiting programmes in the business school including MBA suite, MSc Business Management suite and MSc HRM and International HRM programmes.The role:This role is an excellent opportunity for an Academic to join a busy HRM department in the areas of teaching, module and programme leadership and research.You will be given the remit to deliver across our suite of HRM programmes (on campus, online, offshore and commercial) at all academic levels, including our Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) accredited MSc HRM, and our MBA.You will also be in an excellent position to use your experience to supervise student research projects at all levels and take on a programme leadership role, including preparation and delivery of lectures and tutorials, supervision of student projects and dissertations, and the design of research projects and securing research funding.Furthermore, you will have the remit to conduct individual and collaborative research projects, leading to the production of high-quality research outputs and you will be expected to have published in the HRM discipline/pedagogy stream, with plans for further scholarly outputs.For a full role profile and comprehensive list of duties, please click .What we will need from you:In addition to the role profile, the following criteria are essential:
