We are working with an innovative organization that is seeking a Legal & Compliance Manager to join their team. You will collaborate with a collegiate team of long-tenured professionals, providing legal support and ensuring global compliance standards are upheld.Responsibilities:

• Take lead on devising and implementing global compliance programs and policies, including responsible sourcing initiatives.
• Legal research and regulatory analysis regarding the latest legislative changes.
• Ensure adherence to policies and standards across the organization and external third-party partners.
• Provide legal advice to internal teams and support on contract review/drafting.
• Evaluate compliance controls and implement improved policies, procedures and best practices.
• Support compliance-related investigations and reporting.
• Design and deliver compliance training.
• Oversee third-party due diligence and compliance efforts in global procurement.

Requirements:

• Called to the Bar in Canada.
• 2 to 4 years of post call experience in legal practice.
• Experience in areas such as regulatory law, administrative law, international trade or corporate commercial law.
• Experience in the mining or natural resources industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial although not critical.
