Our client in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Legal Assistant with commercial litigation, employment and or labour litigation experience. If you have any prior experience in these fields, please apply.Job DescriptionOverview of Duties· Provide support to three lawyers (junior and senior lawyers) and participate in our legal assistant shadow program;· Draft, format, proofread and finalize memos, correspondence, and documentation;· Prepare transcription of written or recorded documents;· Photocopy, fax, and bind documents;· Arrange for service and follow-up with process servers regarding service and filing of documents;· Enter dockets, prepare monthly financial reports, and submit expenses;· Organize, maintain, purge, and update closed file records.Qualifications· Legal secretary/assistant certificate/diploma;· (10) years previous experience as a litigation Legal Assistant;· Experience working in commercial litigation/employment and/or labour litigation is preferable;· Proficiency working in a document management system (DMS);· Adept at handling multiple, often conflicting priorities;· Experience with CaseLines;· Enjoys working independently as well as collaboratively;· Strong Microsoft Office skills.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
