We are looking for legal trainees with a strong EU law background for immediate positions to support our busy team. The legal trainee(s) will work closely with our other inhouse lawyers to carry out a range of legal research and analysis, both for projects and proposals. This is a unique opportunity to join an outstanding and committed multi-disciplinary team of experts. The trainee contract is for a 6 month period and is a paid contract. There is the possibility of a formal appointment after that time.
The key qualifications required for the position are:
- At least a Master’s degree in law from an EU university, with expertise in at least one EU Member State’s legislation and on the EU legislative framework;
- Experience in an EU institution or a consultancy working with EU institutions would be an advantage;
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience;
- Excellent spoken and written English and experience drafting reports in English;
- Good knowledge of other European languages is an asset;
- Well-organised, practical-minded and able to prioritise a busy and varied workload;
- An independent, self-starter personality;
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
