Job Function Abstract

The post-holder will probably be a key member of NatureScot’s licensing crew within the Wildlife Administration
Exercise Crew enterprise a spread of duties supporting the supply of NatureScot’s licensing
operate. The principle focus of the function is on legislative and coverage growth particularly for
areas of recent licensing duty. Line Administration of employees, in addition to teaching the broader
crew in areas of novel and contentious casework will even be required. Potential to handle a excessive
profile and different workload effectively and successfully is required together with good
interpersonal expertise. 

Key Duties and Accountabilities 

• Coverage and legislative growth – working intently with Scottish Authorities and inside
  colleagues growing licensing approaches for Wildlife Administration and Muirburn Invoice
• Mission administration – Lead on a programme of enhancements to methods and licensing
  approaches to make sure we offer an environment friendly, efficient and enabling licensing service. 
• Handle and QA complicated and contentious circumstances associated to licencing casework
• Employees/ crew line and matrix administration – a key function within the licensing crew offering a
  co-ordinated and constant strategy to service supply, buyer focus and legislative
  compliance to make sure environment friendly supply of our licensing operate
• Enter to and coordinate present and future reporting necessities and coverage growth
• Communication – Present recommendation to NatureScot’s media crew, stakeholders and others in
  relation to licensing queries
