The successful candidate must have a PhD in epidemiology or a related discipline, evidence of research productivity (peer-reviewed publications), and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will have a research track record that is deemed competitive for attracting external peer-reviewed grants to support independent research in epidemiology, patient outcomes, observational studies, and clinical trial research, applied to the fields of paediatric epidemiology, child and youth health. Furthermore, the candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively to promote and contribute to collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a child-health related research program. Active participation in research projects, interdisciplinary collaboration on research grants, and serving on committees within the Departments of Paediatrics and Epidemiology and Biostatistics will also be expected. Additionally, the candidate will teach at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels Responsibilities of this position will also include supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate research students.
