We are inviting applications for a Fellowship to join the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) commissioned to support the online education strategy and in collaboration with the Digital Education Service.

LITE embodies the University’s commitment to excellence and innovation in education through its investment in a community of Fellows, giving colleagues the opportunity to develop and implement projects and establish a culture of high-quality teaching innovation, scholarship and leadership.

This fellowship will explore the research and good practice around designing, developing, and teaching fully online courses. The University already offers several fully online degrees and has an ambitious plan to expand the portfolio over the next 10 years as part of its strategic commitment to digital transformation and widening participation. To support skill development in the design, development and teaching of fully online courses, the University is in the process of designing an experiential academic practice induction programme for staff.

The purpose of this Fellowship is to inform the development of this professional development programme and embed an evaluation methodology to assess its impact and ensuring continuous improvement.
