We are looking to appoint an outgoing, detail-oriented and enthusiastic person to join our
Nature Recovery Team, based at our Gosforth HQ as Local Sites Officer. The post, funded for 12
months, will assist Northumberland Wildlife Trust and the Local Sites Partnership in updating
our understanding of the habitats found on Local Wildlife and Geological Sites (LWGS) in
Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland, and build on the evidence database for the LWGS
system.
Duties involve overseeing and delivering an intensive survey effort for Local Wildlife &
Geological Sites (LWGS) in Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside. Updating the existing
LWGS database with information generated from survey, and from digitised historic paper.
The role is for 35 hours per week on a 12 month contract. NWT operates a flexitime system.
The salary range is £25,309 per annum.
