Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine

Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) are looking to recruit a forward-thinking and motivated individual to join our team of Acute Medicine Consultants delivering our Acute Medicine services. This will present an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician with a comprehensive understanding of acute medicine to join our dynamic team committed to the delivery of the highest standard of care.The Acute Medicine service is an integral part of the Trust’s Medicine Division, providing care for a range of acutely unwell patients across our Acute Assessment Units and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan.The successful applicant will join colleagues to continue the exciting developments improving the delivery of emergency care to these acutely unwell medical patients within the settings of Medical Assessment Unit or Bryn Ward.Specialist interest will be accommodated eg. Respiratory, Cardiology, or Diabetes clinics, teaching and education sessions at Edge Hill University can also be considered.This vacancy is open to all internal and external candidates.
