The advertised post is for a locum NHS appointment for a 12 month maternity cover.The current department comprises 8 WTE equivalents in total. Barts Health has a hub and spoke distribution of Neurologists with most having commitments at other hospitals in addition to the Royal London Hospital, including Newham University Hospital. The new appointee will work atboth these sites, and will carry out general and acute neurology work.Outpatient clinics will consist of both new and follow up patients. The templates will be designed collaboratively with the successful appointee, with new and follow up slot lengths as per ABN guidelines for general and subspecialist clinics as appropriate.Prof Charles Marshall is the Clinical Lead for Neurology.Please contact Prof Marshall by email:([email protected]) if you would like to discuss this position.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate professional excellent and efficient delivery of care. They will be expected to support the development of a neuromuscular disorders clinic alongside contributing to the general neurology service. Qualifications and knowledge

- MB BS/MB ChB or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Specialist registration or equivalent achieved or within 3 months of completion

- Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)

- Experience in management of in and out-patient general neurology, including acute neurology
- Experience of neuromuscular disorders neurology
- Experience of carrying out and publishing research or audit
