Job Summary:
HALO Trust is seeking a professional and reliable Logistics Assistant to support its operations in the Gaza Strip. The Logistics Assistant is responsible for managing and tracking the movement of all supplies and equipment (including fleet, mechanical) for the Office. The Logistics Assistant’s role is to enable operations and support, helping staff to make requests for materials and equipment required during the work cycle and ensuring accountability.
The ideal candidate should be a native Arabic speaker with fluent English skills and possess a valid driving license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing HALO’s logistics system, keeping inventory of the stores and issuing supplies.
- The Logistics Assistant is responsible for ensuring that HALO procedures are followed and ultimately responsible for the accurate record keeping of all supplies and equipment on the location.
Stores and Procurements
- Issue and receive all equipment.
- Report on lost or damaged items and prepare write-off lists.
- Monitor stock consumption and anticipate and forecast procurement needs.
- Forward supply requests to the administration team.
- Catalogue every new item entering the store (including physical marking if necessary).
- Monitor the servicing and maintenance of stores equipment.
- Support local purchasing of equipment.
- Assist maintaining a list of suppliers and quotes for common items.
- Under the direction of senior management, transfer capital equipment records into the database.
Record keeping
- Record all stock movements and ensure they are entered into the logistics database and filed in paper-form when necessary
- Ensure where necessary that store cards are accurate.
- Submit monthly and 3 monthly requests to the administration for purchasing
- Conduct and assist as instructed during stores checks.
Other
- Help with other projects that need help with supplies, building, compound and accommodation maintenance

Requirements
Education:
- Diploma degree or any relevant degree.
Experience:
- The Logistics Assistant must have a knowledge of Microsoft Office and be proficient in Excel
- 2 years’ experience in an office setting, preferably in a position that handled logistics, ordering, and record-keeping
- Spoken and written English Skills.
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with international organizations or NGOs.
- Familiarity with security and emergency procedures.
