Safety is the cornerstone of our culture, because if we are not safe, nothing else matters.Your Opportunity at SECURE EnergyWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Long Haul Driver to join our Edmonton, AB Waste Services team.Work EnvironmentThis position works a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, out of Edmonton, AB, with eligibility for overtime as requiredA Day in The Life

• Comply with all jurisdiction traffic safety legislation;
• Safely operate various units, including but not limited to roll off, tractor & trailer, roll-off, hi-ab crane truck, cube van, etc.; in diverse weather and challenging work site environments
• Abide by all Waste Management and customer plant-specific safety procedures
• Ensure all waste containers are labeled in accordance with TDG Regulations. (Drums – stick on labels, Bags – in pocket, Bins – wire tie label). You will ensure all labels are completed in full including shipping name, generator name, approval number, TDG Class, UN number, Packing Group number, load number, drum number, etc.
• Inspect all waste materials to ensure compliance with manifest, recycle docket and bill of lading descriptions.
• Be part of an on-call rotation for off hours and weekends
• Communicate effectively daily with the Dispatch to maximize customer needs and Secure’s efficiency.
• Assist with operations at the facility

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years driving experience in the transportation industry or demonstrated competency
• Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, load securement and driving regulations
• Solid understanding of Canadian geography, highway systems and remote oilfield locations
• Prior experience in roll-off and/or vacuum truck operation is considered an asset
• Preference is for a Class 1 Driver, but a Class 3 Driver would also be considered
