LUMS Leading Lights Mentor: supporting students to develop effective academic skills.This role is for Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) students who will be in Part II of their programme at the start of the 25/26 academic year.LUMS Leading Lights (LLL) mentors support incoming LUMS students to successfully transition to academic life. New students and LUMS Leading mentors are matched and meet at regular intervals throughout the academic year to work on developing effective study practices and academic skills. The mentor role involves organising and facilitating these small group study sessions, based upon a set of learning materials pre-prepared by the Learning Development (LD) team. Additionally, mentors have the opportunity to design and lead study skills workshops and drop-ins on open to the broader LUMS student population with support from the LUMS Undergraduate Learning Developer.Please direct any enquiries to Dr Gill Smith at .Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour plus £1.54 holiday payStart Date: 1st September 2025End Date: 1st July 2026Working Pattern: 1-2 Hours per weekJob DescriptionResponsibilities of this role include:
