Broad OverviewThe incumbent will support and assist M&A colleagues in researching the market, presenting findings and providing suggestions for merger and acquisition prospects for the business. The M&A Associate will analyse incoming mergers and acquisitions and support the VP, M&A with activity from initial contact all the way to the finalization of the transactions.As a M&A Associate, some of your responsibilities will include:Manage Due Diligence workstreamsCompile and present key DD findings and ad hoc reporting to internal senior management and shareholdersOwn operational and valuation modelling for key M&A targetsAdvise and collaborate with the C-Level, management team and key shareholders on M&A projectsActively engage in screening and sourcing of future M&A opportunitiesCommunicate with external advisers and assist with their analysisSupport with integration planning and implementation within the businessBusiness travel as required (0-20%)Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out in a professional, efficient, courteous manner and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with Company values.Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list, and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties compatible with your experience and competencies. This description may be varied from time to time to reflect changing business requirements.To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:2-4 years of experience with M&A, licensing or related transactionsAt least Bachelor’s degree level in a Finance, Business or STEM related subject from a top tier universityExcellent attention to detail & established organisational and analytical skillsHighly numerate and highly competent on Microsoft Excel, with operational or valuation modelling experienceExcellent time management skills; able to work quickly and efficiently under pressure across several projectsStrong written and oral communication skills, able to explain complicated concepts with clarityPassion about healthcare and supporting patients’ livesDesirablePhD or Advanced Degree in Medical related fieldDeal experience within the Healthcare fieldCompany Benefits:25 annual leave days plus bank holidays and 3 annual company closure days (to be taken between Christmas and New year)Competitive Pension SchemePrivate Medical InsuranceDiscretionary Bonus PlanPaid Maternity and Paternity LeaveAcademic Study AssistanceEyecare vouchersEmployee Assistance ProgrammeSerb Pharmaceuticals is an equal opportunity employer.
