Position description

ICE’S mission is to protect America from the cross-border crime and illegal immigration that threaten national security and public safety. This mission is executed through the enforcement of more than 400 federal statutes and focuses on smart immigration enforcement, preventing terrorism and combating the illegal movement of people and goods.

 

Responsible for or assists in implementing, coordinating, and-or overseeing a variety of management programs or activities impacting organizational activities or operations. Plans and conducts or assists with studies of headquarters and field functions, personally or through team activities, and develops, recommends and-or evaluates policies in assigned areas of responsibility. Plans and conducts or participates in studies on task forces, provides assistance to headquarters and field offices. 
Provides technical assistance and support to headquarters and field management staff in a variety of matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements. Coordinates or assists in coordination of activities of support staff, and provides analytical support on problem definitions, planning methodologies, policies. and procedures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) analyzing administrative processes, workflows, and/or reporting requirements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; (2) providing technical and operational support to higher level specialists or management in planning and execution for programs and projects; (3) collecting and/or analyzing statistics and data for research of specific programs or issues; (4) conducting preliminary analyses on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support matters.

Education: Successful completion of at least two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or a completed master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree, from an accredited college or university in a field directly related to the work of the position which provided me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. You must include transcripts.

68,405 – 88,926
