Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?RBC Cards is one of the leading credit card businesses in Canada and is a strong contributor to RBC’s overall Canadian Banking revenues and profits. The business has grown tremendously in the last five years, driven by our strong suite of Credit Card products and innovative strategy.The successful candidate for this role will be tasked with providing strategic oversight for the client engagement activities of Retail Credit Cards with a focus on the upgrades program and other strategic initiatives. As the Manager, Cards Client Engagement you will partner with product teams, be accountable for the successful execution and integration of business strategies across multiple key stakeholders, and be responsible for enhancing shareholder value creation. Specifically, you will contribute to the broader Cards business objectives and results through the use of product upgrade offer constructs, data insights and other strategic initiatives.What will you do?Execution of client engagement strategies (upgrades, generic switch, etc.) by partnering with product, marketing and marketing science, digital, risk etc.Identify areas and develop business cases to accelerate share of wallet, engage clients, and drive balance growth, incorporating financial and market-based objectivesIdentify opportunities to simplify and enhance our campaign & offer execution.Focus on response rates, spend/balance growth, profitability and investment optimizationMonitor and report on strategy effectiveness and KPI outcomes relative to expectations including preparing executive level presentations.Become a SME in client engagement and be the day to day business lead, partnering with a diverse set of stakeholdersWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:Strategic Mindset – ability to think strategically, integrate information from multiple sources and synthesize complex issuesExperience in analytics and developing data driven strategiesStrong ability to achieve results in the context of complexity, ambiguity and constant changeHighly organized with ability to multitask and shift prioritiesExcellent critical thinking skills with ability to resolve issues through innovative solutionsWell-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal partnersExcellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPointNice to have:Cards Knowledge – understanding of key credit card business drivers and operationsExperience in a marketing related environment.Proficient in SQLWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
