Apply through Careers in your account. ​Job Title: Manager, Data & AnalyticsEmployee Group: AdministratorEmployee Type: PermanentStart Date: Monday, June 24 2024End Date (if applicable):Job Description: Under the direction of the Director, Institutional Research, the Manager, Data & Analytics leads the Data & Analytics team. This role focuses on overseeing data governance activities and initiatives, maintaining data quality and access frameworks, and providing ongoing support for college-wide data literacy education. These projects and initiatives will assist Deans, Directors, Chairs, Coordinators, and Senior Management with decisions related to institutional performance, market intelligence, data governance, data literacy, and strategic enrolment management. Responsibilities include metadata management, continuous improvement of data governance activities and initiatives, and advising on enterprise projects and initiatives. The Manager leads efforts to maintain the SIS reports inventory, supports the college community in building and customizing reports within the student information system, and ensures quality assurance of reports and data.Qualifications Required:Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Statistics, or other relevant field. Relevant graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimally six (6) years’ of progressively senior level experience in analytics and data management, preferably in a post-secondary or related research public sector environment.
  • Experience with student information systems such as Workday, Banner or Colleague is required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems implementation and data migration is required.
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is required.
  • Experience in managing institutional data warehouse is required.
  • Experience in Provincial Central Data Warehouse (CDW) submissions and in managing the BC Student Outcomes projects is preferred.
  • Experience in relational database, data warehousing, and proficiency in querying databases in an Oracle environment using such tools as SQL, MS Access, and Oracle Discoverer.
  • Experience with labour market data sources (e.g. Stats Canada, BC Stats, EMSI, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheet, statistical, and research software such as SPSS and business intelligence software such as Tableau.

  • Able to establish priorities in a changing or ambiguous environment, modify work plans effectively, and work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to establish and meet deadlines. Experience in project, administrative, and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Exercise sound judgement on issues of a sensitive, confidential, or contentious nature.
  • Commitment to a respectful, team-orientated collaborative work environment. Must be able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
