Your Moneris Career – The OpportunityThe Manager, DevOps Platform Engineering will lead a team of senior technical professionals responsible for the implementation and support of Moneris’ DevOps Platform.Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.Reporting Relationship: You will report to Director, Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering.Your Moneris Career – What you’ll do
- Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for design, implementation and support of DevOps Platform, including all necessary tooling, containerization and CI/CD capabilities
- Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure technologies and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
- Develop and grow talent within the team, promoting a high-performing team culture and collaborative engineering environment.
- Advocate and promote modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to driver change across development and infrastructure teams.
Your Moneris Career – What you bring
- Proven managerial experience in leading platform engineering and support (DevOps/SRE) teams
- 5+ years of practical hands-on technical experience combined with strong management skills.
- Comprehensive DevOps skills including proven hands-on experience with source, artifact, orchestration, configuration and secret management in collaboration with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Nexus, HasiCorp Vault)
- Proficiency in coding/scripting using Python/Go/Rubby/Shell/PowerShell languages
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (public and private) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, ArgoCD, Flux CD).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
