Would you like to join a dynamic team creating a multi-brand and multi-platform design system? We have the perfect opportunity for you!Workplace: Hybrid. Our model offers the best of both worlds, and we use our Montreal (2020 Robert-Bourassa Blvd) or Toronto (700 University Ave) offices as a preferred space for in-person collaboration and team meetings.Use your technical expertise in front end development to lead and guide a team of experts for React, Angular, iOS and Android with the mission of delivering a first-class design system.What you’ll do here:

  • Translate business objectives into clear team and individual objectives and a clear, innovative, and inspiring technology roadmap, collaborating closely with the design system and strategy team.
  • Actively participate in prioritizing necessary actions for the constant evolution of the ecosystem.
  • Build strong relationships with all product development teams to adapt solutions to their needs and promote front-end development best practices.
  • Develop and monitor the progress of the design system and share feedback with the team.
  • Develop productive and engaged teams, promoting the development of personal and technical skills.
  • Mentor team members regarding their career development.
  • Act as the primary technical contact with other technology teams.
  • Work with the team to determine technical feasibility and ensure we deliver the highest quality product possible for the customer.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse and optimize code components and the design system.
  • Define and implement tools and processes supporting the production of digital products.
  • Collaborate with other managers to ensure all initiatives are considered and use system tools in place to the best of their ability.
  • Actively work to implement strategies to eliminate inefficient or unnecessary processes, while mitigating risk.
  • Evolve font-end development practices, tools, and processes to increase autonomy and efficiency of teams and ensure they can meet our digital leadership objectives.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology/software engineering or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in front-end development team management.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Solid experience delivering products in Agile/Scrum mode.
  • An excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle on various platforms. (iOS, Android, React and Angular)
  • An exceptional understanding of the following concepts and technologies: HTML, CSS, React, Angular, Java, Kotlin, Swift, REST Architecture, Microservices, JSON, Git.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
