The Role
The Manager, Threat Management and Investigations will be instrumental in safeguarding our talent, content operations, and intellectual property by identifying, assessing, and supporting the mitigation of threats. This role also involves conducting thorough investigations and installing proactive measures in collaboration with external security agencies and cross functional partners to ensure a safe and secure environment for all Content and Publicity operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen understanding of threat dynamics in the entertainment industry, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and external partners. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Content Risk Management (CRM), based in Los Angeles, CA.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and assess threats relevant to Content and align with regional CRM teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies

Provide direct support, guidance, and training to talent, showrunners/producers, and crew in the management of significant threats to their safety

Align and leverage Legal, HR, and InfoSec to drive comprehensive investigations into physical/content security incidents, including evidence collection, analysis, and preparation of detailed investigative reports with actionable recommendations

Support talent protection and contributor care program in alignment with our content/production partners, talent management, and HR and Legal

Liaise with law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, human resources, and other relevant entities during response, investigations, and threat management cases

Manage contract/vendor resources and develop our source portfolio and toolkit
Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years relevant intelligence experience in the private sector; must have had a focus on threat management and protective intelligence

Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology, International Relations/Political Science, Forensic Science, Psychology, Law, or related major

Experience working with global teams, law enforcement, and other external agencies

Required experience in the tech and/or media/entertainment sectors

Advanced knowledge of open-source, social media, public records search techniques, and intelligence tools/software for threat monitoring and investigations.

Proficiency with threat assessment tools and structured professional judgment guides for targeted violence risk evaluation.

Strong investigative skills with a proven ability to conduct thorough, unbiased investigations

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills, ethical standards, and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 – $360,000.
