Offer DescriptionThe University of Liverpool’s School of Histories, Languages & Cultures invites expressions of interest for the 2024 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme. With the UK’s full association to Horizon Europe, the UK is now eligible to host fellows as an Associated Country and receive funding directly from the European Commission. The MSCA fellowships offer opportunities for outstanding early career researchers who wish to gain experience in other countries, acquire new skills through advanced training and develop their careers.The University of Liverpool is one of the United Kingdom’s leading research institutions with an annual turnover of over £600 million, including £113 million for research. The department is an active participant in the School’s inter-disciplinary research centres, including the and the research centres.Since 2010, we have been part of the , one of four Schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School also includes the departments of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology, History, Irish Studies, and Languages, Cultures and Film.Those interested in applying for a MSCA Fellowship at the University of Liverpool should identify a potential supervisor in their chosen Department and contact them to discuss their project and ensure the identified supervisor is happy to support them.Candidates should then work with their supervisor to prepare an Expressions of Interest. This should be submittedto by Tuesday, 7th May 2024. A Faculty-level selection panel will compile a shortlist of candidates, and all candidates and their supervisors will be informed of the panel’s decision by Friday, 31st May 2024.
