If you can deliver financial valuations with real insight, we’ll really value your talent.

Are you an experienced Market Risk Officer, ideally with a background in financial institutions, consulting firms or multilateral development banks? Do you have a postgraduate qualification in finance or a related field, including financial mathematics and economics? Then you can play a central role within a unique pan-European development bank with a triple-A credit rating and direct funding from the international capital markets.

Bringing together 43 member countries, the CEB finances and responds to emergency situations and actively enhances the living conditions of the most disadvantaged groups. Strengthening social cohesion and building thriving communities in Europe, we drive inclusive growth, bolster economic sustainability – and create exceptional careers.

Our Directorate for Risk & Control promotes a strong compliance culture across the Bank to ensure financial stability. Operating within the Financial Risk Division, you will significantly contribute to this process as you value financial instruments including derivatives and hedges, calculate IFRS13 adjustments and advise on ALM risks. At the same time, you will calculate capital adequacy ratios under both regulatory and internal approaches and develop macroeconomic models for stress tests to give us real insight into our resilience in all market conditions.

To join us, you should bring:

  • Broad knowledge of financial instrument valuation and IFRS accounting norms;
  • Good awareness of market, liquidity and capital risk assessment;
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon and the Microsoft Office suite;
  • A result-oriented and highly adaptable approach, with a degree of innovation;
  • Full fluency in either English or French and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Applications should be made in English or French using the Council of Europe Development Bank online application system before the deadline of 9 June 2024, midnight Paris time.
