For Life.Position: Marketing AnalystReports to: Director of Campaign StrategyPosition Term: Full Time PermanentPrimary Location: Mississauga, Ontario, CanadaWorkplace Type: HybridJob Purpose:Reporting to the Director, Campaign Strategy, the Marketing Analyst for Campaign will play a critical role on our Agile product delivery teams, leaning into their data analyst expertise and experience in functional leadership.In this dynamic position, you’ll be numbers focused, responsible for identifying and driving data-based strategy and execution based on the defined product vision and priorities.As part of the Agile team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with hands-on execution, as much as campaign strategy formulation itself, there in having full engagement throughout the campaign cycle.Responsibilities:Data Collection & Analysis

  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Work directly with product owners and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships

Cross Collaboration

  • Work closely with product owners to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets

Budget Analysis

  • Conducts cost-benefit analyses to determine best strategy with funds allocated
  • Gathers historical data, industry trends and predictive index to build proposals for fund requests
  • Determines whether budget proposals are in compliance with regulations.
  • Defends budget recommendations and developing a final budgetary agreement with management.
  • Estimates and forecasts future financial need and supports programs with financial analytics.
  • Participates in establishing and defining program plan requirements and conducts program plan studies.
  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
  • Forecasts and tracks financial results throughout the year to meet budget projections.
  • Organizes budget templates and data in a clear and intuitive manner.
  • Helps identify financial or operating risks associated with the execution of the contract or project.
  • Provides project summary status reports to management as required or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Math, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative field
  • 10 years+ of relevant experience in Statistics/Strategist field
  • Experience with enterprise-level marketing technology, such as Adobe marketing tools
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
  • Experience in retention or customer facing campaign management within a marketing environment, utilizing data driven decision making
  • Understanding of web/mobile development and the capacity to quickly navigate the changing digital landscape
  • Experience working with and managing agencies and external vendors
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience working with customer journey management an asset
  • Working knowledge of development process and project management an asset
  • Understanding and experience working with/in Lean Agile Scrum methodology an asset
