The team

  • The marketing and communications team is based across our three offices in Edinburgh,
    Cardiff and London. We are a large team of around 50 staff, many of whom work in specialist
    areas such as content or digital marketing. The team offers a warm and supportive environment
    for colleagues, both in person in the office and online via our Teams channel. 
  • We are collaborative – we work very closely with colleagues in different Energy Saving
    Trust departments, suppliers, agencies and funders.
  • We are expert – we’re responsible for advising colleagues on our specialist area.
  • We are supportive – we work closely as a team, helping make sure we achieve the best we can
    together.

The role 

  • We are looking for a capable and committed marketing and communications manager to help us
    launch and deliver an exciting new retrofit and net zero programme across London.
  • Your role will be central to the success of the programme and will make a key contribution
    to achievement of our organisational objectives.
  • Your role will form part of the programme management and you’ll work closely with internal
    and external stakeholders to succeed.

What you’ll do 

  • In this role, you will develop a marketing and communications strategy and help mobilise a
    new programme aimed at B2B audiences in London, particularly public sector-facing (eg local
    authorities, social housing and health providers).
  • Following the programme launch, you will deliver strategic marketing activities to help
    achieve the KPIs, regularly reporting on performance and evaluating results throughout. This is
    a hands-on role working across all levels.
  • You’ll work across various elements of the marketing and communications mix to achieve
    success, including digital, social media, PR and direct email. You’ll also develop branded
    materials and resources to promote the programme.  

What you’ll bring 

  • Experience of marketing and communications management, with proven success in strategic
    campaign development and implementation, particularly in a B2B or public sector context.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritise activity.
  • Negotiation and facilitation skills and flexibility of approach.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proof-reading.
  • Self-motivated, strong leadership skills, team-oriented, and goal-oriented.
