Material Handler – Day Shift
We’re looking for highly motivated Material Handler to join our team in Ottawa, ON.
As part of the Materials group, you will carry out semi-routine tasks in support of both the Materials Handling and Inventory Control functions. Generally, works with clearly established procedures to perform duties.

Your Challenge
In Materials Handling, the focus is on the processing of material from the time it arrives in receiving until it is consumed in manufacturing. Tasks may include:
Processing material at count areas;
Delivery of material to stock rooms, including verification and maintaining First-in-first-out policy;
Perform variety of kitting and order picking functions.
Maintaining policies and procedures up to date, training others as required.
Recommend process improvements;
Perform Cycle Count activities.
In Inventory Control, the focus is on maintenance of inventory accuracy, performing inventory counts and investigations, analyzing and resolving shortages, ensuring all transactions and documentation are completed in an accurate and timely fashion. This role is also responsible for the accurate and secure storage of finished goods. Tasks may include, but not limited as follows:
Picking kits and delivering raw and semi-finished materials to production floor.
Putting stock away in the warehouse.
Preparing all related documents in strict accordance with current corporate procedures.
Cycle count inventory.
Resolving discrepancies and recommending changes to processes to reduce future discrepancies.
Maintenance of warehouse environment.
What You Bring
Material kitting and stockroom experience.
Good computer skills.
Strong team player;
Ability to manage priorities;
Accuracy and quality of work;
Strong customer service skills;
Good working knowledge of English;
Ability to lift heavy objects (minimum 30 pounds);
Generally, requires some Secondary School education, and 1-3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, or equivalent.
2+ years of SAP.
