Key Responsibilities in this Material Science job

• Develop and optimise material recipes for photocathode, secondary electron emission, and vacuum window coatings.
• Operate and refine coating systems to enhance material growth and performance.
• Implement new photocathode monitoring techniques and evaluate underlayer improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, answering technical queries from customers.
• Present research findings at industry conferences and contribute to scientific advancements.
• Support health & safety and quality standards compliance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

What We’re Looking For in the Material Science jobEssential Qualifications & Experience:

• A PhD or degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Surface Science.
• Hands-on experience with thin film deposition techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to
• explain complex technical concepts.

Desirable Skills & Attributes:

• Experience working in a clean room environment.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems and material growth processes.
• A proactive mindset
• Willingness to travel for conferences and industry events.
