We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on the mixing of the Barrel Timing Layer (BTL) detector for the Part II improve of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN. The BTL is a novel detector that can use a classy CO2 cooling system and Thermoelectric Coolers (TEC) for thermal administration.

As Mechanical Engineer accountable for the BTL integration you’ll: 

• Oversee and contribute to the mixing of the BTL detector on the CERN Meyrin website. Specifically, you’ll be chargeable for the meeting and high quality management of the detector mechanics, cooling infrastructure and mechanical interfaces to CMS.
