A spinout technology company, based in Cambridgeshire, are currently keen to add a mechanical engineer to the business to help with the continued development on new electro-mechanical technologies, using fluid mechanics. You will work closely with physicists, scientists and electronic engineers in the development of new cutting-edge equipment.Ideally you will have a focus on fluid mechanics, this could be from industry experience, post-doc work or during a PhD. The focus is knowledge of fluid mechanics, so this could be on medical devices, scientific, inkjet, printing, diagnostics, or other complex fields that have fluid mechanics needed for the core systems.Due to the nature of the work, it is expected that you would hold a HNC, HND or degree within mechanical engineering or another subject that involved working on the design of fluid mechanics systems. Apart from this education most people also hold industry experience, Post-Doc experience or PhD research while working on fluid mechanics.Ideally your mechanical engineering design work would have been done using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD system, however the mechanical design of fluid mechanics is more important.The company are offering an excellent salary range and benefits package.
