Mechanical Engineer in Loves Park, Illinois

Description:

• Utilizes Solidworks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings and bills of material

• Will spend 75% of their day doing design and the other 25% supporting the floor for machine builds

• Once they are up to speed with the product lines they will spend time supporting customers

• Assist sales department with quotations to identify material and labor required to complete project tasks

• Identify, investigate and resolve any conflicts with the customers’ published requirements

• Verify that the design complies with any required mechanical standards, building codes, local regulations, OSHA regulations and good design practices

• Meet with the manufacturing department after the drawings have been released but prior to the start of the build to review the drawings, bill of materials

• Travel will be very minimal 2-6 trips per year and will be just 1-2 day trips

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering required

• 3+ years of design engineering experience

• Experience with machine design or designing industrial equipment
