Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to our team’s overall success and ensure the smooth operation of our automotive repair facility.Mechanics Helper Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components, under the guidance and supervision of mechanics.
• Assist with the repair and replacement of faulty parts,
• Help in disassembling and reassembling GSE components.
• Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in organizing inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize accidents or injuries.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
• Continuously update knowledge and skills related to new automotive technologies and repair techniques.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a Mechanics Helper or in a similar role is preferred.
• Certification from a vocational school, technical institute, or automotive program an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in automotive repair.
• Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of QHSE and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic computer skills to record and access maintenance data.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
