About the role

The Media Relations Manager works across the university within the wider Communications team as part of the External Relations Directorate. The postholder is responsible for: leading the strategic approach to, and delivery of, corporate media relations for Queen Mary; and supporting the Faculty Communications Managers to deliver impactful public relations for each of the University’s academic faculties.

Managing a small team, the Media Relations Manager will ensure that effective planning leads to creative, timely and impactful storytelling across a variety of channels.

The post is based at our Mile End and Dept W campuses in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an immediate start date. This is a Grade 5 role, the starting salary for which is in the range of £41,386 to £48,414 per annum.
